Terms of Service

These terms apply to the NAJ Times website at najtimes.ca and the NAJ Times iOS app, including beta builds distributed through Apple TestFlight. Together we call them “NAJ Times” or “the service”.

By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and why.

Accounts are created by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).

Children play under a profile their parent creates. The parent is responsible for supervising that play and for everything done under the family account.

Children do not agree to these terms themselves — their parent or guardian agrees on their behalf.

Give us accurate information and keep your password private. Let us know right away if you think someone else is using your account.

One family account is meant for one household. Please don't share sign-in details outside your family.

You can delete child profiles yourself, and you can ask us to delete the whole account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how).

NAJ Times is for personal, non-commercial family use.

Don't try to break the service: no automated play, scraping, probing our servers or API, reverse engineering the app, or interfering with other families' use.

Don't upload anything unlawful, hateful, or inappropriate for children — for example in a child's name or nickname.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we'll try to warn you first unless the situation is serious.

The iOS app is currently offered as a beta through Apple TestFlight (join the beta). Beta builds are pre-release software: they may have bugs, lose local progress, change without notice, or stop working when a build expires.

Your use of TestFlight itself is governed by Apple's TestFlight terms. Crash reports and feedback you send through TestFlight help us fix problems, and you give us permission to use that feedback freely.

We may end the beta, or remove or change any beta feature, at any time.

The iOS app is licensed to you, not sold. You may install and use it on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. If the app fails to meet any warranty, you may tell Apple and, where applicable, Apple may refund the purchase price (the app is free, so no refund applies). Any other claim is between you and us.

Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as a third-party beneficiary once you accept them.

The puzzles, artwork, characters, and the NAJ Times name and design belong to us. You may play and share them for personal use, but please don't copy or republish them commercially.

The sports quiz uses league, team, and player names, logos, and photos to identify real teams and players for educational trivia. Those marks and images belong to their respective leagues, teams, and rights-holders. NAJ Times is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NHL, PWHL, NBA, MLB, or any team, player, or media outlet.

If you own content that appears in NAJ Times and would like it changed or removed, contact us at the email below.

NAJ Times is free and offered as-is. We aim to publish new puzzles daily, but we don't promise the service will always be available, error-free, or unchanged.

We may add, change, or remove features, puzzles, and game modes at any time, and we may stop offering the service entirely with reasonable notice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, NAJ Times is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including lost progress or streaks.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived.

If we update these terms, we'll change the date below and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use NAJ Times after a change means you accept the new terms.
